Ep 105 - Going Back Home: The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Part 2)
* Psychology and Spirituality | Going Back Home: The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Part 2) Join Dr. Anahy Fonseca and Jussara Korngold in this deeply insightful episode as they explore the powerful blend of spiritual and psychological themes in the timeless Parable of the Prodigal Son. Together, they will continue our conversation about this parable and uncover profound lessons on forgiveness, redemption, and unconditional love, showing how these themes resonate with the human condition. In this Psychology and Spirituality series, based on the works of Joanna de Angelis, there is a a safe space for open discussion—where spirituality and psychology meet. We delve into transformative concepts through a psychological lens, offering actionable insights and practical advice to enrich your everyday life. This week, we invite you to reflect on the power of forgiveness, the healing journey of redemption, and the boundless love of the father—concepts that resonate with both the heart and the mind. As Joanna de Angelis reminds us, Jesus’ parables transcend the boundaries of ancient myths. The Parable of the Prodigal Son, found in Luke 15:11-32, is one of His most profound teachings, illuminating the inner conflict between the fragmented psyche and the quest for spiritual wholeness. This powerful story highlights the tension between the dominating ego and the harmonious Self—showing us that the path to healing is through self-awareness, love, and reconciliation. hi everyone welcome to psychology and spirituality a bridge to Better Life discussion during our weekly episodes we explore this intersection of spirituality and psychology and as a result we are able to little by little get to understand to interpret most importantly interject the internalize I guess is the better word this Timeless wisdom that both psychology and spirituality bring to us my my name is Marcia Tran I'm your host and I'm excited to to have Dr Na and just a corn good with me today to continue our discussion on what I consider one of the most powerful Parables ever told the parable of the prodigal son so Jada how you doing and and how's everything um I'm doing so great I'm so excited about talking to this parable about this Parable there is so much we can learn from The Parables right yeah absolutely and how you doing we we talked about it last episode about we introduced the topic we even talked about the definition right and but how you doing I would like to to propose and for those of you who are listening in the car or anywhere else uh I'm going to to do a treat and I will share with you a little bit is that okay can we do that I want to bring because Jada we talked about bringing this um this rendition of the return of the Prodigal Son by an amazing amazing painter uh rbr and um for those of you who cannot see it this this is a a really beautiful beautiful painting right so it's quite dark because of course that's R Brun and he he did this in 1669 right and uh it it it shows the most prominent there's several figures but the most prominent is the the father who welcomes the son and there's a lot to unpack there but uh it I never had a chance to see this in person it's um it sits in um in Russia um and I want to know have any of you been able to see this painting in person I was blessed in being there I went to the Heritage uh years ago and I I could say among you know so many beautiful paintings and the place is absolutely Majestic uh also to see this work uh by rra and
was blessed in being there I went to the Heritage uh years ago and I I could say among you know so many beautiful paintings and the place is absolutely Majestic uh also to see this work uh by rra and it's uh so uh important and so impressive in the sense that like you say uh even though I I think the picture of course shows us so much but when you you you are before the painting and you you can see the The Strokes and the the light that reflects especially like you said on the father but at the same time envelop the Sun that is returning as opposed to the other that is still in the shadow it's spectacular so it's it was quite a treat and I'm I I feel blessed for having had this this opportunity oh wonderful thank you thank you for for sharing with you what about you an did you see it have you thought about this painting at all this depiction before we talk about it right how can they say a picture is worth a thousand words right what what are your thoughts when you see this beautiful painting well hi everyone first of all and uh I think it's wonderful because of of course rran was like a genius right uh and the atmosphere and also the the characters the Shadow and light uh you know in the in the picture and uh the characters that I think they are six but some of them are in the shadow and some of them like the father and the two sons are in the light yes so it's so symbolic and it says so much as you said Mara and also Jada so much without any words you know and just looking at it and connecting to the atmosphere to to you know to the light and the shadow and the lot of symbols and also as we talked um the previous episode a lot of archetypes a lot of uh ancient let forms let's say that talk so much uh and help us to connect to our higher selves yeah to our deep wisdom let's say but I would love to hear what she sort of felt when she connected to the pain what were your feelings Jada and how did it touch you I I I think that if I could put it in one word I would say forgiveness you know it's like
ear what she sort of felt when she connected to the pain what were your feelings Jada and how did it touch you I I I think that if I could put it in one word I would say forgiveness you know it's like at the same time you know uh you surrender uh to you surrender to your you know uh wrong choices yes uh acknowledging that uh that was was a bad call like we were going to be be talking about it more in depth during our conversation but but the way you know the the love that envelops you know the the son from the father a a and it's is it's it's like you you're baath in in in in forgiveness because I I think it's very much about it uh is uh it doesn't matter it does doesn't matter what went through it matters what is is starting now so it's it's quite uh an emotion and I think maybe it will uh call it will be different for for for each one that it will be there maybe you you see something else but U yeah I I think that the forgiveness is is is what called my attention more yeah so for those of you who don't know I I have a background in art history so i' like to to give a little bit of just a snippet right so rbrand when he painted this uh this work um please know that this is almost one of his final Works he's very close to his own death uh uh it's estimated was about two years before he he passed and uh specifically for those who are not uh say um in front of a um a place that you can see the the painting but it it depicts specifically the moment of the prodigal son when he returns to his father because as we mentioned the last episode we told the story right so the story of when he returned it's almost like maybe two-thirds of the story so that's the moment that R BR CHS and through as jar and both J and na mentioned um he he chose the play of light and darkness to really evoke if you will the sense of spirituality right and as J said beautifully the message of forgiveness and uh so it it is if you think about it is this it's this Embrace right this um a sense of homecoming right of uh
the sense of spirituality right and as J said beautifully the message of forgiveness and uh so it it is if you think about it is this it's this Embrace right this um a sense of homecoming right of uh embracing of welcoming and and uh even though we that's you know we human beings we we may not be enlightened yet and after all the bad mistakes we've done the representation of God by the father is one that welcomes you be here and be sheltered in my arms so if you think about it he in the the painting I'm just going to describe a little bit in the painting the son The Prodigal Son the youngest son he is in a terrible state right I don't know if anybody wants to to comment on this because he his his his um um clothes are tattered he only has one sandal not two he is dirty he looks like uh really the one of the most um disenfranchised o of all right maybe if you're displaced person you may look like him and uh and think about it this is a person that wasted he was giving inheritance he wasted it all he was not ready for it and he fell into uh poverty he fell in a state of despair so he at this moment in the painting he's kneeling before the father in Repentance right he's wishing for forgiveness he's wishing for the smallest of the smallest place in the family right as a servant and uh of course the the sense of renewal is right there with the light that is shining on on on both of them to say that no you you have a place in this family so the welcoming gesture is there and the hands I think those are the things are most important to me folks is I'm now sorry so his hands seem to suggest um that he was the mother and the father and and uh we we talked long time ago about the anima and Ana's aspect of this painting right but it's it's really important if you have a chance to take a look because one hand appears much larger and and more masculine and the other one more feminine to embrace those two archetypes right and uh and and so when we look at it besides that there's
take a look because one hand appears much larger and and more masculine and the other one more feminine to embrace those two archetypes right and uh and and so when we look at it besides that there's a third figure which is the one that I would love to to hear more in our conversation it's the brother right the brother who his hands are now crossed and he looks from top down right top down as if in judgment so um it is a sense of there is a enormous as as just to mention uh a feeling that is portrayed by rebron of forgiveness but not from the brother but I'm gonna take this out because I think we we spent enough time with the painting I can always bring it back but I wanted to to to ask are we ready the two of you shall we go on in our conversation today awesome so um as as we know this is the part two of our episode and I just wanted to know if all of us who are here together you in the in the live in this uh recording and me who's here with the immense pleasure to be here with anay and Jada right and we're gonna explore those figures so just again and um and this exploration I'm going to ask to bring again like the two different hints the the the the perspective of psychology as well as spirituality and uh just to give a sense again this is the story of Two Brothers even though the title is the prodigal son so it's the story about the younger son that returns and we say no this is the story of two brothers and the brother the the the prodigal son is the one who returns and with it from a um symbolism perspective it's about what um transformation humility self-reflection which is a really important Journey right the other son the Elder son and the picture rbr's picture of this tall uh uh man and looking down right he in in a nutshell he symbolizes all the conflicts that all of us have right it is so painful to to identify and to deal with it and understand in a way and this is for you and right the grip of the ego because it's all about those the jealousy or even oh I don't know uh
right it is so painful to to identify and to deal with it and understand in a way and this is for you and right the grip of the ego because it's all about those the jealousy or even oh I don't know uh unresolved bitterness that he may have so it is important for us to look at it the story from those two lenses right the the two uh the the the story of Two Brothers but I pause here and I'm turning again to the audience you who are here today right you're listening to this program I'm gonna I would like to ask you have you ever felt like you two have strayed away far from your true self right and those moments that you did once twice many times and then you realize that you really should be ready to come back home right and you don't have to answer of course hang on to your seats because this is exactly what I would like to and to talk to us about it and to have them really dive into the story the the the parable of prodical sun will bring to us and I wanted to all of us to be ready to hear from the brilliant yes the brilliant Dr anai and the very very insightful Jada so that they can take us through this journey to bring away those layers right that a parable that is so Rich can give it to us so Jada what is the parable really about you mentioned forgiveness from the painting right but go ahead if you can well one of the things that I think we should uh start commenting is about you know we are talking about a parable that was proposed by Jesus and when Jesus talked in Parables there were uh different examples that he used and and from different perspectives some of them were you know let us imagine a situation this situ this one is about a narrative is actually about a fact right to the family like you said it doesn't it doesn't talk about the mother but there is a mother father figure and the parable and the two sons and and in some of uh the registers that we have about this Parable we even have also the name not only Only The Prodigal Son but the the the two two brothers the two sons in
parable and the two sons and and in some of uh the registers that we have about this Parable we even have also the name not only Only The Prodigal Son but the the the two two brothers the two sons in this case and um so this is a narrative it talks about family it talks about F family Dynamic and it brings about you know um so many elements that we could uh we could connect with our emotions for instance when you proposed you know what what is your emotion it depends because one day you will feel like impulsive like the the the prodigal the youngest son let's say I want to to get into the world I want to live I don't want to be here I'm me patient I don't want to be here waiting for my father to die so I can enjoy my share of The Inheritance that he thinks you know belongs to him and uh amazingly enough I very much like we understand the position of our creator once we are created you are G giving free will so here we see the exercise of free will the father allowed the son to do what he wanted and even make it possible for that to happen so here in on one hand we have this impulsiveness and this I I think it's how we we feel sometimes you know when we want to break free from from things from situation and on the other hand we have the restrain we have the frustrations we have uh I have to abide by the laws of society regardless of what I feel because this is very much the frustration the bitterness like you say that we can see in the elderly son and the Elder son because you know uh when the the Young as return it he makes it clear that he was not happy with his situation he wanted to be appreciated by the World by the father and uh and listen I I'm the one that is stayed here I'm the one that fulfilled my obligations and why am I not applauded or you know in that uh we were talking about you know the the how the father received it's not really an Embrace his bending down to raise the Sun up it's not that he's going to embrace it's he's raising him up to the level meaning and I think although in
he the how the father received it's not really an Embrace his bending down to raise the Sun up it's not that he's going to embrace it's he's raising him up to the level meaning and I think although in the pending we don't see that but we see that this is the movement that the father is is doing like saying now you're getting into my level you're getting into the understanding of what are the things that really matter but let's see let's hear from Anna and because there's so much if if we start talking about it we don't stop at all well but it's great I love because we connect with everything that we are thinking and um that's why I I talked about uh the archetypes because everything that you are talking about Mar and J are things that we in our lives um go through most of us and as Humanity because the great thing about The Parables is that um they talk to each one of us in our personal history or right or story also because in our past as Spiritual Beings evolving and also in our personality here so we all makes make mistakes and I wanted to REM uh remind everyone that Marsha when you said oh um he he got his inherent inheritance because the father gave him part of it his money but it remind me that he asked the father in the parable for his share and that 2000 years ago that was awful because what it was like killing the Father the father was not dead yet so he didn't have any inheritance and uh to ask so he asked the father and of course the father would have been mad probably if it was a regular father let say right uh because he was kind of Killing In freuden terms let's say he was killing the Father the Oedipus complex right and but what I think it's great like Jada is bringing this spiritual side if we think of the father as um as God as Mar said okay as it depends on how each one of us uh has the god image our own image of God but we all know uh and we can agree that it's um something Transcendent right or some some Spirit let's say with a capital s or the
ends on how each one of us uh has the god image our own image of God but we all know uh and we can agree that it's um something Transcendent right or some some Spirit let's say with a capital s or the Creator or who you know it doesn't matter how people understand or try to or the image but we know that it's something that created us and all loving energy and you know all loving intelligence and intelligence and all of that but the main thing is that um we can look at this Parable in a individual and psychological terms that psycholog from Yung and Joanna and or we can um also look at the par uh in a collective way and that what's I I think it's great because then and it's so up to date unfortunately but in a sense Jesus knew us the time that we would need to understand with our egos and our higher selves uh and really as Marsha was saying the beginning integrate really uh understand with not only with our minds but with our hearts hearts and we with our souls you know so what I think it's uh great to think about is that okay you kill the father it could be in terms of um freuden and like the ego right like the the child that has to grow up and uh is like the ego is inflated and I know everything just give me my share that I don't even you know have earned yet but if if I'm my ego is inflated okay I have all the rights give my share and I'll go to the world and I'll show that I'm better than anyone well like teenagers spiritual spiritual teenager or the child tur into teenagers so okay The Prodigal sun goes away and spends all the money as we have been talking and you know uh is without any conditions even to eat the pig's food remember we were talking about that um and what I think it's uh great great um you know of course Jesus the Christ had all this connection to the source and could understand each one of us out of space and time what we would need to reflect upon to what return home so that's the archetype of returning home or we could also say uh both things I
source and could understand each one of us out of space and time what we would need to reflect upon to what return home so that's the archetype of returning home or we could also say uh both things I think are represented here in this Parable rebirth right the the prodigal son had a rebirth because if you look at the painting I was looking closely as much as I could because I was not so lucky as de started to painting it makes a whole of a lot of difference but what I saw in the head of the prodigal son and that's the genius of ran he's like a baby he's like wet you know not only bald without hair but like wet and he's the the father bash mother right the Creator is holding as Marsha told beautifully with the two hands representing the feminine and masculine forces of the spirit right the tenderness the accept but also the strength as just I said the the to forgive to forgive we have to understand deeply and we have to understand that the the our child we'll have to go to the world and we'll have to learn and to make mistakes so this is the Father the masculine force of the spirit saying like Jesus had beauti balance of course between um feminine and masculine so it's represented also in the image of God of the father we can look at it this way uh the feminine and the perfect balance between feminine and masculine as Marca said but what I thought it was also great is is that the head of the prodigal son is like a you know a baby kind of like wet and it's in the womb and the chest and the womb of the father we could think of a rebirth uh of you know coming back going back returning home our Cosmic um you know let me let me bring that to to to to go ahead goad so we can talk about because it's quite interesting the position right in in in the belly of the Father the womb uh in this case Cas uh symbolically speaking go ahead yes so I think that was you know that was so like I wanted to go home too looking at the picture I don't know about you guys think craziness that we as as human
e Cas uh symbolically speaking go ahead yes so I think that was you know that was so like I wanted to go home too looking at the picture I don't know about you guys think craziness that we as as human beings is still do in the world you know Wars and hunger and um you know people hating each other and all this stuff this is going uh it's we need to return home as human beings all the fraternity the understanding that we are part of a hole that we call a Transcendent hole that has everything in it all the love all the creation all the understanding the acceptance The Compassion uh that is within our creator so we need to go back home so what I think it's wonderful in this Parable is that we can even we can look as individuals like Jesus saying okay you are going to you know do a lot of uh you you're going to mess up things you're going to do a lot of mistakes uh but uh here the Creator God father and mother is always here looking at you because in the end if you under if you you remember the parable when the sun arrives and this 2,000 years ago wasn't like this at all the father wouldn't move right the son would have to come to him and in the parable the father runs to the son and holds the son H it's so beautiful just that the the symbolism of going toward the sun yes yes and a totally accepting can you imagine that when J talked about forgiveness I wanted to be forgiven like this I don't know about you but I you know can you imagine the love you feel because it doesn't matter how many mistakes how crazy we have been uh we have this you know this eye of the father mother God looking at us all the time and when we when we say yes I have made a mistake please accept me we don't even have to ask because the son didn't have to go to the Father the father came to him isn't that wonderful just what can you tell tell us about you know spiritually speaking about this movement I think there is also a movement of self forgiveness because you know if he couldn't be humble enough uh and and in a way you know even
tell us about you know spiritually speaking about this movement I think there is also a movement of self forgiveness because you know if he couldn't be humble enough uh and and in a way you know even if unconsciously self forgive he wouldn't be able to take the journey back and there are so many things that I can only imagine when Jesus was telling this Parable that if it today is for our standers and understanding it's um you know really a disrespect right imagine at that time the we are talking about the Jewish Community for starters the the youngest son had had no rights basically all the rights were to the the the the older son right he is the one that is going to inherit uh the the the father's um Fortune wealthy so so to say and he's the one that is going to be taking care of the family so here we are already talking about a very small fraction perhaps that was not related to him be you know related to him being the youngest son going out uh and then you know uh the way Jesus choose to say he had to go and work in a pig farm for a Jewish to be next to an animal that is considered completely Unholy not even the food of the Fig he could eat that's why he was also starving because it was completely against his uh you know uh the way he was brought up and and everything so having to take the Journey Back requires this self forgiveness you know and uh and and and the realization of you know I need emotional nourishment it's not is not only about uh you know physical nourishment but emotional nourishment that I had in my father's house and and he goes uh uh humbly because uh he's not expecting to be forgiven but just being able to to work for you know to to survive but to be in in a completely different environment as opposed to this the other son yeah but according to the spirit manual there is a message in the book uh words of eternal life that we have't in English already by a Manuel chavier H he talks about the uh a passage that is called the sun and the censorship so the the older son was was
sage in the book uh words of eternal life that we have't in English already by a Manuel chavier H he talks about the uh a passage that is called the sun and the censorship so the the older son was was a sensor he was looking down and and and having all those emotions of you know I did what I had to do and what is my reward Marcia you are going to say something no I was this is silly everyone but this is going to today right and not even today but closer to us thinking we're talking about Jewish Society 2,000 years ago and I love what you put that so beyond the the individual and the collective from a psychological perspective um there's the question the context the cultural context right just and the thing that came to my mind no judgment everyone no judgment and on me or or on the story but is the story of one of the uh long lasting and very uh famous um aristocracies right the British royalty and the fact that you know King Charles at the Time Prince Charles without a mother the mother is gone had two sons and the younger one Prince Harry leaves and there was this very interesting as he departs because he does he wants to experience a different life he's struggling the the departure the Exile if you will from uh his his work in that family had a a a lot of um uh difficulties and uh we keep hearing lately um these attempt of reconciliation in return but then uh when we think about it right in in addition if it's so palpable the difficulties is today can you imagine 2,000 years ago right so I just find it quite interesting I don't know why it came to my mind uh mind you but one of the things that that comes to my mind as well is um perhaps we can start thinking about at a very again very individual not Collective an that you're saying or culturally just s but if you think in terms of um what we're talking about um we we can say that uh this story allows us to to go deeper into the psyche today with uh Prince Harry and uh uh Prince William and and the dichotomy of the two children very
hat we're talking about um we we can say that uh this story allows us to to go deeper into the psyche today with uh Prince Harry and uh uh Prince William and and the dichotomy of the two children very much like the parable of the prodical son one obedient and doing everything that he is required to to to keep the the the status quo and the other one that Rebels and moves away there's a sense of going to a foreign land right um but there's also the tension that you said earlier Jad I don't know if you want to speak further the tension about the Imp impulsiveness I want it I want it now right and I keep saying I I I I self diagnose uh myself as ADHD so I said hello ADHD brains out there this is us the prodical sons we want it we want it now but from a psychological perspective right and I this is really uh an egoic response can I just say something I was thinking thing that I think is very important for us to you know to bring to you know to our reflection today is about how the story resonates in us are we among those that will say I'm happy that he had a horrible experience that he had to go through hunger and and poverty and humiliation or are uh and the other the the other son was was right had to be uh completely against the position of the father because this is a very materialistic way of seeing things or are we already you know indulgent or we have compassion in related to the to the mistakes that we all make the the bad decisions that we all make so uh since we always talk in spiritism and Jan d'angeles Alan cardic we are always talking about the law of progress we have to cheer for the progress of others sometimes we see yeah we will see others fail uh we ourselves failing but it doesn't mean that we cannot correct our ways amend our ways so by looking at this example and this is what Jesus was saying this is what he was the message in in my perspective is all about that is about saying listen he was giving free will you as H human beings you have your free will but there
s is what Jesus was saying this is what he was the message in in my perspective is all about that is about saying listen he was giving free will you as H human beings you have your free will but there is the right way of doing things and there is the bad way of doing things when you choose the bad ways there will be consequences actions and reactions when you choose the good ways there will be the consequences but it doesn't mean that at any point you can um uh uh re re redo you know uh how the the the G or come back home right with that archetype right recalculate you recalculate and say you know what this is no longer in my interest I have an objective when I did that I wanted to be happy I wanted to be to feel uh fulfilled but now I'm hap and happy I'm not fulfilled and I have to recalculate because I know what I wanted to go but I took the wrong route and and I think we should meditate about it because uh we should learn as well to to cheer for for for for people that are taking that are are you know being courageous enough to acknowledge even if if for themselves that they were in the wrong and they they they they are humble enough and courageous enough to take a different path can I pun can I can I just say something I was going to pun to you so when you talk I have a question specific to what uh what is saying to you but go ahead yeah because if we are not able because this is we are talking now about the shadow okay in psychological terms so if we are not able to feel happy for other people's achievements we should just take some time to look within ourselves why am I not happy because usually then we are going to have to face an envious side of our personality you know Envy jealousy all of this and nobody wants to you know to oh look at themselves and see oh I have this side of my personality that you know I'm feeling jealous about someone I'm envying envying someone so the important thing is to remember as Joanna tells us that we shouldn't be afraid of this
ave this side of my personality that you know I'm feeling jealous about someone I'm envying envying someone so the important thing is to remember as Joanna tells us that we shouldn't be afraid of this moment of self-analysis of self- encounter because we all have shadows The Prodigal Son as Janna says had a a huge Shadow let's say of you know being spoiled being selfish not cons being unconsidered of of his father and of his brother of his family but as Jada said he he surrendered to his shadow he went to the world he learned with his mistakes because otherwise he wouldn't uh come back home right the other son as Marsha was provoking us to look at the other son uh was sorry feeling very envious and jealous of the prodical son because as you said he stayed so and everything should be his so in a certain way the other son and it's beautifully um you know painted because the other son is tall is Noble like the father has the codes as his father and all of that but he's looking down at the prodigal son and he cannot feel as just say uh is saying happy for his brother who has as the father said he turned returned home he was dead and now he's alive again so how come I I don't feel happy and this can hap happen to any one of us uh because even if I feel or understand that I love my brother and by my brother can be blood brother or friends or you know whoever colleagues or what whatever um I should love and we have a lot of emojis of you know of beautiful uh hearts and heads with a lot of love but I can put this kind of emojis in my message text message and whatever uh but I'm not feeling that and maybe I don't want to accept that I'm not feeling bad and it's so so important Janna is going to tell us why why is so important that I recognize my feelings as The Prodigal Son did like do we say uh Rich rock bottom right yeah go to the bottom of all my you know my worst aspects but look at them so that I can be rebirthed that I can integrate as Marsha was saying um this forces within
o we say uh Rich rock bottom right yeah go to the bottom of all my you know my worst aspects but look at them so that I can be rebirthed that I can integrate as Marsha was saying um this forces within my myself because you to say that this is the path for the numinous that we call the sacred for returning home within us in the sense of finding God that it's not outside of us it's inside of us because we are his children his creation right and we have this strength because since we are part of the creation we have this Divinity we have this strength inside of us right so to Manifest this we must first look for it inside of us as just was saying not outside of us so and one other thing that I would just wanted to remind everyone and so so just to finish this state of numinosity that Joanna says is the balance between everything that we are it's and in this balance this quietness this calmness within our souls then we can connect to God everybody that meditates everybody that you know that has some kind of spiritual practice uh already knows that that we need this calmness and we cannot achieve within us we cannot achieve that if we don't balance these forces and accept ourselves as just was saying same uh before anything else so and the other just uh last thing that I wanted to say is that looking at the picture I saw that the prodigal son has a dagger in his waist and it was very beaut it is very beautiful and precious and Noble so um I just it just remind me listening to J when she said um that God is within us right and uh we can temporarily because of the ego and the Persona and all of the outside world forget that we have this strength because we are part of the creation but it's represented in rembrand because he was ragged and worn out and all but the dagger was there in his waist remind him that he was his father's son and I think this is so beautiful I just wanted to add this no and we are in sync because what I was about to ask you you actually address so
there in his waist remind him that he was his father's son and I think this is so beautiful I just wanted to add this no and we are in sync because what I was about to ask you you actually address so thank you and I want to tell all of us because we are at the end of our time together that this story right it's more as we heard in the past minutes together more than a tale about two sons it's about all of us it's about Prince Harry and Prince William it's about me and you all of us uh are going through some some aspects of this this Parable and I I want to say that it is about the fact that forgiveness um isn't just a spiritual act but also psychological one right it is truly a psychological breakthrough and if you think about it it's about this conflict within our own psyche uh it's about the the battle between our higher self in our ego and the challenges of confronting the Shadows within so that we are able capable ready to embrace healing and integration so I just want to say thank you thank you J thank you all of you for being here today and for those of you that are joining us for the first time uh please note that the psychology and spirituality weekly talks are based on the works by Joanna deangeles and we hope you're able to perhaps expand your own Concepts right and uh uh by doing that by just opposing psychology and spirituality by just opposing many different thought processes here we also want to thank our sponsors manand cin the United States Spirits Federation the international spirit is Council and um in Brazil the Brazilian arm of the Medical spiritist Association I hope to see you back next week thank you so very much and goodbye byebye
